By adopting our own R&D of new heat treatment process and composition design, CADI grinding ball combines hardness and toughness perfectly and eventually improves its mechanical properties. Through the impact and friction, the surface of the CADI grinding ball will form a higher hardened layer. As the surface gets worn and the ball gets smaller, the surface hardened layer will continue to renew. In a word, CADI grinding ball will always have a layer of high hardening layer on its surface whenever it is large or small. The overall hardness of the CADI grinding ball is relatively evenly distributed, for example, Φ130 CADI grinding ball's initial hardness is HRC56-58, after use its surface hardness keeps at HRC 64-65 and the impact toughness exceeds to ak 15J / cm ². The CADI grinding ball technical indicators has reached domestic and international advanced level, as a wear resistance material, CADI grinding ball contributes to save production costs 10% -30% for domestic and international large-scale mine concentrate plant.

Based on the above mentioned project cases in SAG mills, it can be concluded that CADI grinding ball is full of favorable mechanical properties and excellent wear resistance, it is conducive to lower energy consumption, improve efficiency and cost savings for mining enterprises. The successful application of CADI grinding ball in large SAG mill subverts the traditional concept that only forged grinding ball can be used in SAG mill.
